Kids love to explore! And Ypres is truly a kid-sized city, quiet, safe and and very diverse.

Our cottage is tailor-made for a vacation with children (5-12 years). It is a big house with many hidden places: you can play everywhere, stomp on the floor and scream loudly if you want, you won't disturb anyone. So check out our special children's package!

Want to discover Ypres through a quest tailored to children? Then get the "Cat Hunt" map from the Tourist Office. It is a treasure hunt for the whole family and you will discover the nicest spots of the city. The tour takes about 1.5 hours. You can use the same map afterwards as a party game.

Ypres has long been known as the cat city. Every 3 years the cat parade goes on and there are annual cat festivals.

In the cat procession walks along a very big giant, that's Ciepers! Together with Minneke Poes, Ciepers had 5 kittens. They are Snoezie, Mimi, Neko, Bert and Bas. All bedrooms are named after one of the kittens. And here and there in the house there are pictures of Ciepers and his kittens. You are sure to get into the mood! Each kitten has its own style and its own character. Who are you most like? Ask us for the story of Ciepers and his family so you can re-enact the story when you are with us!

And here they are: the inhabitants of our dollhouse. Each felt doll represents one kitten. Snoezie, Mimi, Neko, Bert and Bas live in our dollhouse.

If you book the children's package with us, the story of Ciepers and Minneke and the 5 kittens will be sent to you (or your parents) as an e-book. And when you come to stay with us, the 5 dolls will be waiting for you. And then: play on!

You don't have to leave the dolls behind, you can take them with you as a reminder of your stay at Ciepers Lodge!
